I know how challenging it can be to make the first move, but I will be with you every step of the way.

Hi, I’m Thea Jansky and I specialize in working with couples and individuals who want a directed approach to relational success. I frequently assure my clients, “no one taught you how to do this, so how would you know?”

This is the reality for many people. We are thrust into adulthood, assuming that if we find the right person, find each other attractive, and have a connection, that everything will just work.

That if we experience challenges, our relationship might not be the right fit.

I am here to tell you that I don’t subscribe to that motto. I have seen, time and time again, that couples who thought they were done, merely did not have the skills to create a fulfilling life together. Many of them lost themselves along the way. I work with couples and individuals to help you find your way back to yourself first, and then to each other.

Where I specialize

A few areas of specialty in my practice come from my education, what I have chosen to train in and where my heart lies.

Marriage/Relationships
Creating long lasting, sustainable, thriving relationships that feel safe and secure.

Premarital Counseling
My program covers key areas necessary to cultivate a thoughtful and planned relationship including children, careers, conflict, intimacy and so much more.

Infidelity

Your relationship does not need to end when infidelity occurs. Research says that most couples stay together in the face of infidelity, and there are concrete ways to validate you around your hurt, while also strengthening and repairing your relationship or marriage.

Intimacy/Sex
Work out differences in desire, libido and fulfillment as well as connection issues that keep you from feeling juicy in your relationship.

Parenting/Co-Parenting
Get on the same page and adopt the same or similar strategy in your parenting. Work out co-parenting issues and come up with a longitudinal and sustainable plan so your children can get the best parents possible to be there for them, and make you feel safe with your other parent.

Separation/Divorce
Some relationships divide and come back together (taking a break), and some ultimately end. Do this thoughtfully and gracefully, while processing the emotion and figuring out how to move forward in your life.

Dating
Learn healthy strategies as you venture back out into the dating world to find a partner, create healthy relationships with others, get your needs met and relate to yourself in a loving fashion.

Trauma
Understand where you came from and decide where you are going. Learn how your past has affected you, and how it it rearing it’s head now, and controlling the way you live. Integrate your history into your story so that you can move forward and stop living in the past, and learn how to teach your partner how to support you in times when you feel controlled by your trauma. Work on healing.

Mediation
Learn how to fight fair and come to reasonable conclusions that are attainable and sustainable in the long run. Learn how to negotiate so that everyone wins, and learn to cope with losses.

Codependency
Live for yourself, rather than attempting to fit others in a box so that you can be happy. Learn how to be ok with not being on the same page, and adapt tools to cope, and a different perspective.

Find Solutions

The goal is to start to see change rapidly. Support and guidance around making that change stick is where we focus most of our time and energy. People come to see me, often knowing what they need to do, but they can’t conceptualize how what they want should be done - or if it even can be done. I am here to creates solutions by first helping you understand what’s beneath the blockages and the behaviors that aren’t yielding results, and then re-teaching you how to be in intimate relationships - emotionally and physically intimate.

Experience Transformation

This work is an investment. It’s a full transformation of what you know to be true and an opening up into the realm of possibility. There is so much ground uncovered - we weren’t taught how to do relationships, we merely saw those around us and modeled our own “relating skills” off of our experiences. We weren’t taught how to have great emotional intimacy and sex, we figured it out. And when that’s not working anymore, we must graduate into a different strategy. And that is the strategy I’m going to teach you.

Experience Relationship Sustainability

Some of us created a beautiful connection with an amazing partner, but when the relationship didn’t feel easy anymore, our skills in conflict and repair fell short. In so many of these cases I see partners who love each other but feel misunderstood and unsupported. Connection and sex fall away.

I am here to teach you how to create a pleasurable, satisfying and intimate relationship - one that is sustainable. A relationship that fosters individuality and interdependence, two key components of successful partnerships.
